I can't even begin to say that I understand this work, but I love the images it invokes. Dreams and nightmares rattling us in our sleep only to lose their grip on us as we wake. Why will we smile? Out of fear? Because we are glad its over? Maybe the only thing left is a skeletal smile and shiny bones? That's the beauty of poetry, or the horror of it.

Ah, monsters I'm tired of explaining this for you.

Dark halls store bright eyes
in elongated fields
the vast wavering green blur
doesn't excuse the bound demons
who infiltrate dreaming wastrels
and let their silken holds
be known

I understand I'm being haunted by "Demons" and try to deal with it the best I can. Usually by giving up old demons for new ones.

ungrateful hosts
pull tiny eyes from dreams
in blackened understanding

we must forgive the feeble

they lack recognition
of unwavering solitude
their grip is futile at best
and when we remember them

We will smile

All most people see is that there is something wrong and are too lazy or too stupid to deal with it. When they fail miserably and go into an insane asylum we, the people who understand, will smile.
