So after spending several years writing "Monster Within Me" I immediately began writing another novel sized story. I hadn't bothered writing a short story since high school. Things were going alright with it. Sometimes it would just flow. Other times life would take over and writing would be put on hold. Then something crept out of my subconscious and sent me in a tail spin.
I've been in one form of counseling or another ever since. With as much as I talked about my love of writing my councilor thought it might be a good way to address some of my issues. That's when I discovered how therapeutic writing really is. That's how this story came about, and many more since then. So while this is a complete work of fiction, it is wrought with real pain and emotion. There are many stories about revenge and the emptiness that is felt once its been accomplished, but what what about the satisfaction given. This story was my satisfaction for the revenge I never had.

...a great story. At times, I felt as if I were there. Lol. I think each of us has real life situations where we fantasize revenge against someone that has really hurt us in one form or another.
The good news is that via writing, we can "write out the poison" and zap a fictional character or two and still feel somewhat satisfied.
And some people think horror writers are nut cases? We're probably more sane than most! We have a harmless outlet for the slights we've suffered.

A dish best eaten cold.
Revenge, sweet revenge.
A topic I must visit, bye and bye................
