you don't usually use rhyme and rhythm in your FH work, so i've attached a significance to it. this song-like quality among other factors makes me wonder if it's from a human or immortal point of view. did you only intend one or the other?

The poem does have a last man on earth sort of quality to it now that you mention it JJ or even a dismayed Omnipotent feel. I could tell you it was my intention to convey this but you guys know me and my "chivalric-necrophiliac odes" as Hodge so gracefully put it back in #2, too well.

If you personally removed everyone you loved from existence and then hid your sorry ass away in the desert somewhere you might have some of the regrets that this guy does. At least for a minute, and after many Vodka rocks. :'(
