This story is so well done that after reading it for the fourth time it still feels like somebody hit me in the gut with a sledge hammer by the time I get to the sickening end.
I believe this is one of the best stories we have ever published.

indeed, mr. sunseri is a gifted storyteller and right neighborly to offer this piece for our showcase. also a fount of writing insights, his brain is often picked at the permuted press forum in this thread entitled 'Ask a Slightly Successful Writer!'

Heh. I sure loved it, so I guess I'm just a sick puppy. My wife, on the other hand, thought it was nasty. To us horror writers, that is high praise.
I wonder what it would be like to dine out with them?
